My brother helped me tack weld the mast support tonight. Will work some more on it tomorrow

New YouTube video of my restoration so far

Carbon fiber not allowed according to class rules. I'm making a new mast support in fiberglass with poly resin

Finally some hands on work today. I started work on a stainless steel mast support yesterday, but felt it got too heavy... I used it as a mold, and started to laminate a carbon fiber mast support this afternoon.

I got a great deal on sheet lines. Paid by the pound. Super cheap.

Got a great deal on Harken hardware for my Soling restoration today!

I got some goodies in the mail today. The Japanese made pliers allows me to cut the M5 screws to length without harming the threads.

First new pieces installed today. Harken grips

Same boat... I just love these two pictures together. A new floor, frames and repairing all the holes in the deck, and finally some paint, makes a world of difference... The third picture is why there is no progress on the restoration...

Snowing outside, and windy on top of that. Made two new gaskets in 2mm rubber material today. For the self bailers. Also cleaned up the main sheet cam cleat and pulley.

When it's cold and snowing outside. Stay inside and work on boat components... Soling restoration SWE102

It's cold in my boat shed. I covered the boat with tarps tonight. Waiting for warmer weather...

Keel repair started. Most of the antifouling paint removed. Back in my own boat shed again.

Worked on the keel and hatches tonight.
